EDUCATOR TRAINING
Educators are in a unique position to identify early specific behaviors among students and to implement prevention strategies that affect the entire community. J.C. Santelli Training and Consulting, LLC teamed up with subject matter experts to create training programs to support early detection of crises and violence in the educational environment. CIT training teaches communication strategies to defuse crises that youth experience. Classes include Adolescent Development; Emotional Problems in Children and Adolescents; Suicide/Self-Harm (Prevention and Strategies); Disabilities Education to name a few.
24-Hour CIT-Youth Training
Originally developed in 2009 as a pilot program, this specialized training involves didactic learning coupled with experiential role-plays. While maintaining fidelity to the original CIT-Youth curriculum, J.C. Santelli Training and Consulting, LLC, has further expanded the course for educators and others who may work with youth in crisis. There's an emphasis on youth who may have mental illness diagnoses, disabilities, substance use issues and/or comorbid conditions. Our presenters provide academically and practically based areas of expertise to many and varied audience compositions. The highlight of this training, like our other CIT trainings, is the realistic role-plays infused into the training. The role-plays are realistically portrayed by professional actors and facilitated by highly skilled coaches who create an unparalleled learning experience.
De-escalation Training
Educators are keenly aware of the impact that high-profile incidents across the country have had on our schools and communities. J.C. Santelli Training and Consulting, LLC can deliver masterfully produced or customized training to meet your specific needs, augmented by highly realistic scenario training to translate course content into real-world skills that transfer directly to the workplace.
Mental Health First Aid Training

The training provides skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
